Sharon E., LVT, head technician, weight coach
Sharon graduated from SUNY Canton’s Veterinary Science Technology program in 2002. She joined the East Greenbush Animal Hospital team in 2004, becoming the Head Technician in 2008. While working full time with us she attended SUNY Albany earning a Bachelor of Science degree in 2008.
When she is not at work, Sharon enjoys spending time with her husband, their two daughters and the family cat Salem. She also enjoys wildlife photography, camping, hiking and exploring our National Parks.
Rich I., LVT, weight coach
Rich attended SUNY Delhi, graduating in 2000 as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. After working at other hospitals in the area, he joined the East Greenbush Animal Hospital team in 2006. As a technician, Rich is proud to work with families in the Capital District, as well as care for their loving companions. He currently resides in Rotterdam with his wife, their two children and the two family cats. In his free time he enjoys hiking and fishing in the Adirondacks. He has also recently taken up playing the guitar.
Gail T., LVT, weight coach
Gail is originally from the East Greenbush area, graduating from Columbia High School. Immediately following graduation she attended Morrisville State College graduating with an AAS in Equine Science and Management. She worked at a large breeding farm in Chatham for several months before deciding to return to college. Gail attended Mount Ida College becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician as well as acquiring her BS in Veterinary Technology. She then attended Tufts University for a short externship in the large animal hospital with rotations in: sports medicine, surgery, internal medicine and diagnostic imaging. After completing her education, Gail and her family lived in Maine where she worked in large and small animal practices. They later returned to the East Greenbush area and Gail Joined the East Greenbush Animal Hospital team in 2011. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their three children and three cats. Her hobbies include baking, yoga and traveling.
Joyce “Jo” R., LVT, weight coach
Jo attended SUNY Canton graduating with her AAS in Electrical Engineering in 2003. She returned to SUNY Canton a few years later to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician in 2011. She relocated to the Albany area later that year and joined the East Greenbush Animal Hospital team. Jo shares her home with her little dog Dudley. In her free time Jo enjoys reading, fishing, watching TV (especially The Big Bang Theory), and spending time with family and friends.
Jenny K., LVT, weight coach
Jenny joined the East Greenbush Animal Hospital in January 2013. Originally from Michigan, she attended the University of Michigan for her undergraduate work then continued on to SUNY Ulster to complete the veterinary technology program becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician in 2013.
Outside of work Jenny enjoys spending time with her boyfriend in their Albany home. She enjoys movies and television shows (especially Dancing With The Stars), reading, playing soccer and running. In 2015 Jenny completed her first marathon! She doesn’t currently have any pets but enjoys spending time with all the different pets that she gets to see at work on a daily basis.
Beth C., LVT
Beth graduated from SUNY Delhi in 2009 as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Shortly after relocating to the Albany area from South Western New York, Beth joined the East Greenbush Animal Hospital team in 2014. She has a special fondness for pocket pets but loves all animals large and small, furry and scaly!
When Beth is not working she enjoys hiking, reading, music and cooking or just hanging out with her cat Sam and mouse Hinata.
Sierra L., Board Eligible Veterinary Technician
Sierra is a Castleton, NY native. After graduating from Maple Hill HS, she attended Mount Ida College. She completed the Veterinary Technology program in December and has been studying hard for her up coming licensing exam. When she is not caring for our patients or studying, Sierra enjoys spending time with her dog Harper or participating in outdoor fun on land or water!
