East Greenbush Animal Hospital

Dr. Rachel Hannum grew up in Georgia and Virginia and received her DVM from the VA-MD College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004.

After graduating she worked for 2 ½ years at Companion Animal Clinic in Blacksburg, VA.  She joined the staff of East Greenbush Animal Hospital in April 2007, survived her first NY winter, and is still with us.

Her professional interests include surgery, opthalmology, dermatology and small mammals.  Rachel’s home is shared with her husband Chip, daughter Julia, son Dylan, four dogs (Cricket, Lily, Mei Mei and Snickers), four ferrets (Rudy, Mr. Snowy, Tigo, Glimmer), two sugar gliders (River and Simon), and Derby the cat (pictured above).
